The Fox upfronts are May 15th. This is where the network announces the schedule for the next year.
Decisions about renewals and cancellations of shows are announced before this. The busy days are Wednesday May 10th through Friday 12th. On rare occasions negotiations drag out.
In other words we will probably (as in almost certainly) hear about Gotham’s renewal next week, along with the other fifteen shows we have no word on at the moment.
I will try to avoid discussing ratings until then. I’ve given all information I’m able to and I’m rather burnt out. Just let me once again reaffirm that it would be a historic shocker if Gotham did not return on Fox or elsewhere. No network show in its position - 66 episodes or more, 3 seasons - has failed to get a fourth season since 2007.
Then one year later the whole cycle will start over…
